Left us on 13th Oct, 2022 at the of 71 years age
Late Smt. Geeta Sawhney, married to Dr. S.S.Sawhney in 1971, was founder member of Uttaranchal Progressive Educational Society (UPES) which established Uttaranchal College of Science and Technology Dehradun.
She was compassionate, honest, sincere and humane. She was a support, a guide and a mentor to her husband (Dr. S.S.Sawhney), her son (Dr. Kamal Sawhney), her daughter (Dr. Meenakshi Chadha) and her grandchildren (Ridhima, Gaurav, Sushant and Kunal) and her daughter–in-law and son-in-law. The void generated with her departure from earth cannot be filled. She believed in the philosophy of simple living and high thinking.
It was under her able and visionary guidance that the foundation of UCST Dehradun, could be laid. Her dedication and commitment helped UCST to grow into a great organization and become a name to reckon with in the field of higher education and innovation.
To-day UCST is well known in the field of pedagogy and innovation.
Her untimely and unexpected departure at 71 years age from earth on 13th Oct 2022 has left us all weeping. We will always cherish her fond memories. Her life will keep us all motivating and her blessing will guide us forever.
